USF One Of Three To Place Five On All-BIG EAST Team
TAMPA - With the BIG
EAST Conference Awards being announced on Thursday night at the conference's
annual men's soccer awards banquet in Morgantown, W.Va., on the eve of the
28th annual BIG EAST Men's Soccer Championship, the University of South
Florida men's soccer team can take pride in knowing that it is one of just
three schools to place five players on either the first, second, or third
team's. USF joins Connecticut and St. John's as schools that placed five
players on the league's all-conference team's.
Bulls' goalkeeper Jeff Attinella was named to the All-BIG EAST first team in
addition to being tabbed the league's Goalkeeper of the Year.
Joining Attinella is midfielder Bernardo Anor and defender Javed Mohammed
who were named to the All-BIG EAST Conference second team. Midfielder
Francisco Aristeguieta and forward Zak Boggs were selected to the
all-conference third team.
Not included in the list of the first, second and third team's, is the fact
that forward Hasani Sinclair was named to the All-BIG EATS Rookie Team.
The Bulls, who are 13-3-3 on the year, are awaiting their fourth NCAA
Tournament bid in the last five years. The College Cup bracket will be
announced on Monday, Nov. 16 at 5:30 p.m.
