INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 9, 2009) – The dream season continues for the Rollins men’s soccer team as they earned the top seed and hosting honors for the 2009 NCAA Division II Super Region Tournament, it was announced Monday.

Rollins and Barry will meet for the third time this season at 7:30 on Friday, November 13 at Barker Family Stadium and Cahall-Sandspur Field. Tampa and Lynn will play the early game at 4:30 p.m. with the winner of each contest meeting in the championship game Sunday, November 15 at 1 p.m. in Winter Park.

Rollins, the regular season Sunshine State Conference champions, will be making their 10th trip to NCAA postseason play and their first since 2006. The Tars are 3-9 all-time in tournament play and will be seeking to advance past the second round for the first time in program history.

Led by SSC Coach of the Year Dr. Keith Buckley and SSC Player of the Year J.D. Gruenewald, Rollins rolled up a record of 16-2-1 and established a new program best for wins in a season. Rollins’ first round opponent Barry is the only team to find a chink in the Tars armor this season, handing Rollins both of their losses. The most recent came in the semifinals of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament, which Barry went on to win.

Fans will be able to follow all the action live on RollinsSports.com with live audio and video streaming as well as live stats for the entire tournament.
