Kate Dylag Named Women's Soccer Assistant Coach
Former N.C. State and Central Michigan assistant joins staff

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne women's soccer coach Tim Zundel has named Kate Dylag
assistant coach.
Dylag comes to the Bluff from North Carolina State, where she spent two
years on the Wolfpack coaching staff as an assistant. Prior to that, she
spent four seasons at Central Michigan - she was named assistant coach in
2004 after spending the previous season as a graduate assistant.
Dylag was a standout player at UNC Greensboro. As a Spartan, she was a
four-year starter and was named second team All-Southern Conference in 2001
and to Soccer America's Team of the Week in 2000. One of the top teams in
the SoCon, UNCG made it to the NCAA Tournament in three of Dylag's four
years (1998, 2000, and 2001).
The Strongsville, Ohio, native also played for the Piedmont Spark and
Cleveland Eclipse of the WLeague and was on the roster of the International
Soccer Club. Dylag holds a USSF B license as well as an NSCAA Premier
diploma. She has spent time as a mentor going back to her playing days in
college. Dylag has been a camp instructor at UNCG, North Carolina, Wake
Forest, and Duke. She has also been a foot skills coach for the Strongsville
Soccer Organization as well as an assistant coach of Strongsville High
School, guiding the team to a 2002 state championship.
Dylag is a 2002 graduate of UNCG, earning a bachelor of arts degree in
communications studies.
"I am glad to have Kate join our program," said Zundel. "Her experience at
the Division I level will help continue our program's growth."
The Dukes open the season on Fri., Aug. 21 against Saint Francis, Pa. at
Rooney Field.
